Costumes and props/ reasons for choice

For my college magazine cover I used the props that are presented on the image above. I instructed my friend to wear a lanyard and to hold a file and to read it. I thought this would make the image look effective and it fits in with college life for example, revising. I didnt use any costume in particular I just took a picture of her in the clothes she was wearing that day, which were casual, so they fit in well with student style.

I thought that when the props were used and the way she was positioned made the shot look like a action shot that suited a college magazine perfectly.
